Madison Music Company (MMC) is a non-profit organization specifically formed to partner with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation (SMF). SMF is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education programs in America’s public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as a part of each child’s complete education. If MMC made partner with the foundation, it would center its work restoring music programs in the public schools located in Madison, Wisconsin. MMC will work with SMF to put philanthropy, music, and celebrity at the center of its product line. Located in Madison, Wisconsin, the company will further the foundations mission to keep music education in the headlines. MMC exists to improve the quality of music education throughout Madison. Madison is a great location for MMC because there is a burning need to support music education in Madison’s public schools.
Marketing
MMC will use social media in order to fund music education programs in the Madison area. MMC is committed to reaching more people to help advocate and fundraise. MMC will market to:
1. Entrepreneurs, Companies, and Organizations (e.g. The Overture Center, Barrymore Theatre, The Alliant Energy Center, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter).
2. Public Organizations (e.g. municipal government, legislators, district planning committees, school administrators and teachers, and local colleges and universities such as University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music and Madison Media Institute).
3. Other Non-Profit Organizations (e.g. SMF, National Coalition for Music Education, NAMM Foundation, and WMEA Foundation).
